The Lincoln Academy of Theatre Arts (LATA) is a brand new Academy for students age 14 - 19 who have an interest in pursuing a career in Performing Arts.

It is run on Sundays 9.45am - 1.00pm at the new Knight Theatre in central Lincoln during term times. All the actor/teachers are well known in the area and have extensive careers in the field of performance, having worked in television, stage and film.

There will be a minimum of two performances per year at Lincoln Drill Hall. This will include plays, dance shows and group showcases. There is a maximum of 20 pupils per class (3 classes).

THE COURSE INCLUDES WORKING ON ALL
PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUES INCLUDING:
SINGING: Solo, duet and group work, harmonies, vocal coaching.
DRAMA: Projection, voice and speech, improvisation, audition techniques.
DANCE: Jazz, contemporary, modern, physical and stage presence.

Our aim is to hone each students skills and prepare them for entry to Drama Colleges / Universities and for entrance into the Performing Arts Profession.

This is the only course in Lincoln which is run in the style of a Drama School and NOT a local Theatre School. We beleive in the highest standards of teaching for the greatest amount of learning.

The cost is ONLY £12.50 per week (payable termly).

All staff are CRB checked and we adhere to the governments 'safe from harm' programme.
