Vision & Goals

In 2001 DTC productions was formed and our vision was to bring the excitement, creativity and joy of live theatre and performing arts to the provinces around the country.

We have achieved this through touring live productions, running one day West-End workshops, holding summer schools for children and students ages 7 – 16 and in 2004 opening up a brand new Saturday theatre school.

Our company strives to continue with their success and growth as well as finding new ways of bringing performing arts to children, so the highest standards of teaching and learning can be achieved.

Over the next twelve months we are looking to open an Academy of Theatre Arts in the Lincolnshire area for 14 to 19 year olds. This will specialise in preparing young people for entry to drama colleges and into the performing arts profession.

In October 2006 we performed our first Youth Theatre show. ‘Les Miserables school edition’ ran for a week at Lincoln Drill Hall and the production had sold out before it opened. Each performance received standing ovations from the 2000 audience members that saw the production and the show had amazing critiques. ‘FANTASTIQUE!’ (Lincoln Chronicle), ‘VICTORIOUS’ (Lincolnshire Echo).
